Institute leadership continues to communicate important information for cadets, their families, faculty & staff, and the VMI community at-large:
- Are you a recipient of a three or four-year ROTC national scholarship? A unique opportunity exists at VMI to help fund your journey toward commissioning into the U.S. Armed Forces. The Call to Duty Scholarship covers the cost of housing (room) and food (board) at the Institute for cadet recipients. Learn more and apply today.
- Parking Changes - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has begun a Route 11 bicycle lane construction project Monday, March 3. This will create a permanent removal of parking spaces along either side of Main Street (Route 11) in front of VMI facilities from Massie Street to Hook Lane (the Aquatic Center to Cormack Hall). - Recent additions to VMI's featured stories explore life on post as well as how VMI's leadership training and commitment to academic, military, and athletic excellence set cadets up for success during and after their time in Lexington.
- Jackson House Museum Operational Updates: The Museum Store and Exhibit Gallery reopened March 1, and the historic Jackson House will reopen April 1. Special lectures will be available in the garden during March.

March 4 was a day of remembrance at Virginia Military Institute, as the Institute commemorated Jonathan Daniels ’61, alumnus and Episcopal seminarian who responded to the pleas from Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. for clergy to become more actively involved in the civil rights movement.
