Erixene Morrison Quilt Ornament

The design of this ornament is based on the tulip pattern from an applique and trapunto quilt owned by Mary Anna Morrison Jackson, Stonewall Jackson's second wife. Dating to 1850, the quilt was handmade by Mary Anna's aunt, Erixene Morrison, who gave the beautiful piece to her niece, Mary Anna.

The quilt is currently on display in the hall closet at the Stonewall Jackson House Museum. Pictured above is a photo of Erixene Morrison's quilt.
