Creative Arts Contest
CADENCE invites all VMI cadets to submit their creative work to the VMI Creative Arts Contest. The anonymous contest awards a cash prize to the finalists in recognition of their creative achievement. All submissions will also be considered for publication in CADENCE, the Institute Writing Program’s journal of literary and visual arts.
All cadets are encouraged to submit their original works of poetry, prose (fiction & creative non-fiction), drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, sound and film to the 2015 Creative Arts Contest.
Contestants may submit a maximum of five creative projects for evaluation. To submit to the contest, please format your work according to the attached submission guidelines, and send your materials to Natalie Oleksyshyn at email@example.com by Sunday, October 25th.
If you have any questions about the contest or about CADENCE, email Stephen Bernard at firstname.lastname@example.org or Samuel Crawford at email@example.com.
The Creative Arts Contest and Cadence are sponsored by the Institute Writing Program and the Department of English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies.
