This year’s Annual VMI Leadership and Ethics Conference “Strategic Leadership in Times of Global Transition: Past, Present, and Future” explores strategic leadership from a military, geopolitical and global enterprise standpoint.
VMI's Leadership Conference features more than a dozen experts on:

- The Marshall Plan and Contemporary Reconstruction and Nation-Building
- American Foreign Policy
- Business Leadership in a Global Economy
The VMI Leadership Conference uses an interdisciplinary approach to examine strategic leadership traits and approaches. You will hear how individual, institutional, and national strategic leadership shape strategic environments.
During Three Periods of Global Transition

- 9-11 to the Age of Disruption
- Forward to the Mid-Century Ahead of Us
Panel sessions will conclude with time for Q&A.
The conference will feature an Ethical Leadership Challenge, led by trained facilitators, challenging participants to use critical thinking skills and strategies for ethical decision-making as we collectively examine a mock scenario rooted in actual historical events.
New for 2016: Continuing education units available.
The dress code for this conference is business casual or military Class B. For the dinner on Nov. 2, it is business or military Class A. We will provide places to hang jackets and change.
