Director of Athletic Multimedia

Virginia Military Institute, an NCAA Division I and Southern Conference member, is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Athletic Multimedia.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for developing and producing video content for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, ESPN+ and select linear events for Southern Conference TV packages.
• Produce live video production for all home athletic events designated for ESPN+ as well as supervise all game day production crew.
• Create highlight packages, conceptualize, and develop features and produce other creative content for use throughout the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
• Serve as liaison to the Southern Conference for video and multimedia, coordinating and developing student and freelance help as well as producing video content for the department website (both promotional and advertisement inventory).
• Assist in other external relations efforts, the development of content for use on all social media platforms and creation of appropriate strategy for expanding the VMI brand through video.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field experience.

Additional Consideration:

•    Experience with multimedia at the higher education level.
