Faculty and Staff Help Desk/PC Technician

This full-time position is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Installation, configuration, set up and maintenance setup of desktop and laptop computer hardware and software for faculty, staff, and cadets.
  • Provide telephone, walk-in, and e-mail support to the Faculty/Staff Help Desk.
  • Accurately document work in Help Desk Ticketing System.
  • Obtain hardware and software quotes from vendors.

This position will be required to work on Campus.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of hardware installation/repair and software configurations.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft operating systems and the Office Suite.
  • Must be dependable with a proven history of excellent work attendance.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Detail oriented with IT skills to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Must work well with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated and use time wisely.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Able to work well independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
  • Professional appearance and dress.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or similar field.
  • Previous PC technician experience.
  • Previous MAC experience.
  • Previous Help Desk experience.
