VMI Yearbook Digital Archives

Connect to the Digital Yearbooks

Digital editions of The Bomb are available from the first edition in 1885 through 2010. Yearbooks after 2010 are not available online.

The digital yearbooks are hosted at the Internet Archive. The list will appear in reverse chronological order, beginning with the most recent volume. You can choose from a variety of formats, browse and search a volume by choosing the "read online" option, download the PDF, or access other formats.

About the Digitization Project:
This project was made possible through the LYRASIS Mass Digitization Collaborative – a Sloan Foundation grant-subsidized program that has made digitization easy and affordable for libraries and cultural institutions across the country. Through the Collaborative’s partnership with the Internet Archive, all items were scanned from cover-to-cover and in full color. Colleges and universities throughout Virginia and around the country have participated in the yearbook digitization project.  For this project, the original printed editions of the yearbook were scanned in the summer of 2010.

About the Yearbook:
Known as The Bomb, the yearbook was first published in 1885.  After a nine year hiatus, it has been published continuously since 1895, with the exception of 1945 & 1946.  The yearbook is an independent cadet publication.
