Arnold Air Society Awards Scholarship to Cadet

LEXINGTON, Va. Jan. 26, 2024 — The semester's first Lead Lab commenced Jan. 18 featuring a commander’s call, expectations brief, and the presentation of the $5,000 Arnold Air Society scholarship to Cadet Mya Gaudier. Cadet Mya Gaudier received a $5,000 Arnold Air Society scholarship

The Arnold Air Society operates as a club alongside AFROTC or Academy commitments, mandates members to undergo candidate training, and contribute to their squadrons and ROTC detachments. This commitment not only enhances the officer candidate experience but also cultivates robust leadership as well as organizational and professional skills.

An AS200 cadet from the Virginia Women’s Institute of Leadership at Mary Baldwin University, she competed against her fellow squadron members and clinched the scholarship with an essay on Advancements in Technology and the Impact on Air and Space Forces.  Grateful for the award, Cadet Guadier stated, “this scholarship means a lot as it allows me to continue pursuing AFROTC and my education!”
