LEXINGTON, Va., Nov. 11, 2020—Virginia Military Institute, in partnership with the Department of Health, is hosting two free COVID testing events. Both are open to the public, and social distancing will be strictly maintained.

The clinics will be held in the Marshall Hall parking lot on the following dates and times:

• Monday, Nov. 16, from 7 – 11 a.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 19, from 2 – 6 p.m.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged and can be completed at https://www.doineedacovid19test.com. Participants need to be at least 17 years old and do not need to be symptomatic to be tested. Results will be provided in an online portal, typically within 3-5 days; there will be no results given through a phone call.

This will be a drive-through clinic where members of the community will stay in their vehicles to be tested. Cadets and others walking to VMI will have a walk-up testing option. All visitors to VMI post should come up Letcher Avenue from N. Jefferson Street. Signage will direct participants to the testing site.

In preparation for holiday travel and gatherings, those being tested should check state restrictions for quarantine and testing requirements.
