Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Artmobile to Make a Stop at VMI

Virginia Military Institute is partnering with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, to bring its state-of-the-art Artmobile, “VMFA on the Road.”

LEXINGTON, Va. April 10, 2024 — Virginia Military Institute is partnering with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, to bring its state-of-the-art Artmobile, “VMFA on the Road” to post April 25 to April 27.

The exhibition, “Love, Laughter, Tears: An Artist’s Guide to Emotions,” features art from VMFA’s permanent collection by artists such as Kiyoshi Saito, Stephen Shames, Gabriel Sunday Tenabe, Nell Blaine, and others. This dynamic compilation of paintings, prints, photographs, and film, from a range of cultures and time periods, illustrates the universality of human emotions.

The Artmobile is free and open to the public during the following limited hours: Thursday, April 25, 2:45-3:30 p.m.; Friday, April 26, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. It will be parked in front of Preston Library on Letcher Avenue.
