Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, May 16 at 11 a.m., Cameron Hall

Commencement is the culmination of four years of study at the Institute. The walk across the stage during this ceremony is a moment every graduate remembers.

Anticipate heavy traffic. Satellite parking will be out at Lackey Farm Parking Lot (110 Hines Lane).  A shuttle will be provided to pick you up. 

Shuttle service will run continuously from satellite parking and all areas across Post from 8 until 11 a.m. and following the ceremony.

Cameron Hall will open at 9:30 a.m. Arrive in time to be seated by 10:45 a.m. Tickets are not required for this event.  Seating is on a first-come, first served basis.

For security reasons:  balloons, air horns, coolers, backpacks, wrapped gifts and baskets are not allowed at any of the VMI ceremonies.  Strollers must be able to be folded and stored out of the way of other guests.  All carry-in items are subject to search at the door.

Wheelchair seating is available. Handicap drop-off is immediately in front of Cameron Hall. Contact the Chief of Staff's Office at chiefofstaff@vmi.edu for handicap seating needs.

In the event of inclement weather, alternate parking may be necessary. Check the website for alerts or additional information.
