Students are not considered registered or permitted to attend class until all fees are paid. Students with unpaid fees beyond the payment/registration deadline will be dropped from class rolls. A $70 late registration fee will be assessed if the payment/registration deadline is missed.

Registration for the 2025 Summer Session will open at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025.

VMI will not bill parents or students. Cadet Accounting accepts payment for Summer Session tuition and fees by cash, check, E-check, or credit card (MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express only). If a credit card is used, a 2.6% convenience fee will be assessed. Make payments by credit card (Mastercard, VISA, Discover or American Express) online, in person, or by calling Cadet Accounting at 540-464-7217, or by mailing a check to:

Non-VMI Cadet Summer Registration

Class of 2029 Summer Transition Program Application

Each summer, about one-half of the incoming class elect to participate in the Summer Transition Program. Matriculating students take one class and get to know the VMI post. It is held during the last four weeks of the second term of the VMI Summer Session and, like the summer session, operates in a civilian environment; there is no military training during the STP.
