Matriculation Day was held at Virginia Military Institute on, Saturday, Aug. 20, beginning the Rat Line for the new academic year. This year is the 183rd year of the Institute and celebrates the 25th anniversary of women at VMI.

Scott Named First Female ROTC Commander at VMI

Col. Nichole K.A. Scott has assumed command of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at VMI. She is the first female commander of any ROTC military branch at VMI, and arrives during the 25th anniversary of the admittance of female cadets.
